Frequently Asked Questions:

Are You Going to Shave Down My Teeth?

No, we practice minimal preparation for veneers, preserving as much of your natural tooth as possible. Some dentists may shave down teeth significantly, calling them veneers when they are actually crowns. This can be misleading and unnecessary. We believe in ethical practices and ensure that any preparation is minimal and essential for a natural look. Beware of before-and-after photos showing heavily shaved teeth, as these often indicate crowns rather than true veneers.

Does Having Veneers Affect My Gum Health?

Properly fitted veneers should not negatively impact your gum health. They are designed to fit seamlessly over your teeth without causing irritation. Continue your regular oral hygiene routine, brushing twice daily, flossing, and regular dental check-ups to maintain both your veneers and gum health. If you experience any gum issues, such as discomfort or swelling, contact us promptly for evaluation.

Do Veneers Cause Bad Breath?

Properly fitted veneers should not cause bad breath. However, unethical or improper applications can leave air pockets between the veneer and the tooth, leading to bacterial buildup and bad breath. High-quality veneers are securely bonded to your teeth, preventing these issues. It's crucial to choose a reputable dentist who follows best practices to ensure your veneers are both functional and hygienic. If you experience bad breath after getting veneers, consult your dentist to check for any gaps or issues with the application.

Do You Offer Any Guarantees for Your Practice?

Porcelain veneer treatments carried out at the clinic are presented with a 5-year warranty. In the event of fractures of porcelain, repairs or replacements would be at no additional cost*.

*Patients would need to attend routine dental check-ups once every 6 months.
*When advised, a night guard should be worn.

Do You Offer Digital Smile Design for Veneers?

Yes, we offer Digital Smile Design (DSD) for porcelain veneers. DSD improves communication between our cosmetic dentist and patients. It enables us to make adjustments and incorporate additional elements based on the patient's preferences. This ensures that the shape, arrangement, and color of the teeth can be tailored to meet the specific expectations of each patient.
